The Attic is a series of articles promoting industry change and discussing contemporary working models, published by a Times’ Innovation awards nominee – law firm, Obelisk. Attic, as top of the building holds an anthropomorphic parallel to the human head. I played with the concept of connecting the physical space of the office with metaphorical space of the paper, both brand’s thinking territory.
Rooted in tradition.
Obelisk are game-changers in a very conservative industry. I proposed using etchings to correlate with the traditional character of it, but then gave them treatments, like a dynamic composition or geometrical cuts that transforms the look into contemporary feel, a conservative world seen in a new, fresh way.
Obelisk legal services are discrete, custom-made and crafted. Red-inked stamp featuring the logo is applied by hand. Selected high-end audience received a copy signed by Obelisk’s CEO.
